Creator Commentary

Something I wanted to convey with the first panel on this page is a distance between the two main characters as they face their isolation from everyone else. I drew them in the left third of the panel (withe right 2/3rds the moonscape) so that they are close, but have them facing away from each other, wearing clothing that contrasts each other, and even hatched them in opposite directions. This visual contrast carries on through the three stacked panels, but results in a balance in the final panel where the two hold each other.
