Deliciously lush clouds catch glints of the rising sun as it makes its way into the sky. The golden-white light spills over a mountain thick with trees, glancing off roofs and sides of buildings in the small city below.
Recently I've become enamoured of clouds and the way they catch light. It's a bit of a homecoming: when I was in middle school and really diving into working with watercolor for the first time, I painted little else besides sun-kissed clouds and heroic ladies. We've had a wonderful summer for the sky this year (in St. Louis) and I wanted to capture the light, and joy, that it's brought me.
